Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid period, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in specific - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and finally separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent reactions on court had prompted some to wonder if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
However the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging opponent, securing four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early-game break points in a close final set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, he secured victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
